CAMDEN POWER STATION
T&T have been requested to dredge the dam and return the dam to as close as possible to the original design levels. T&T's responsibility is to remove the material from the dam and load it onto dump trucks. Once the material has been deposited at the designated dump site, the responsibility for that material shall pass to the client.

INGULA
Excavating and dumping of material within the Bramhoek Dam. Removal of the provisional berm and re-profile of the spoil areas at the Bramhoek Dam at Ingula Pumped Storage System executed by means of a barge mounted excavator equipped with a dig system, loading the material into 2 Hopper barges and dumping the material in a dermarcated dump site situated within the Bramhoek Dam.

VANT'S DRIFT
Vants Drift abstraction plant was built in 1988 to supply water to Dundee and Nghutu, but over the past years, the filter system under the river has slowly been blocking up with mud and clay allowing the subtraction of water to be limited, especially during winter when the river is at its lowest. Our job was to detour the buffalo river in order to dewater and work on the rivers rock bank replacing and upgrading the suction point allowing a vast amount of water to flow through the chambers.

VAAL PROJECT
We digged a trench for a pump station intake at a depth of 22.4m x 9m wide and 215m long with a 85 ton specialized long reach excavator that has a boom stick combination of 24m and an additional 2.5m extension piece to add to for a total length of 26.5m. The excavator is working off a hydraulic jacked-up barge and have two split barges where the rock is loaded and discharged on a grid designed by a surveyor.

GROOTVLEI (ESKOM)
Our project for Eskom(Grootvlei) included removing the reeds from the ashdams (amphibious excavator) and dredging out the excess ash. Depth and operator ability is of utmost importance to prevent damage to the gabion baskets.

DURBAN BEACH FEEDING SCHEME
T&T Marine was asked to supply, commission and manage the pumping of sand up the length of the Durban beach front (six kms in extent) in order to replenish the sand that is naturally removed by wave action for a period of 18 months. T&T Marine supplied a DOP pump 3530 from Damen with a T&T Marine manufactured hydraulic power pack.
