Grootvlei (Eskom)
T&T Marine were contracted to clear the Eskom power plant and ash-dams at Grootvlei where SHEQ requirements are of the highest standard and strict adherence is compulsory.
A floating excavator was used for cleaning plant material and excavations in areas inaccessible to other excavators. Reeds growing on the ash dam could only be accessed by using the Cat 320 DL Amphibious Excavator.
Our trained riggers and mechanical staff, makes mobilization and de-mobilization quick and easy, increasing production time.
Dedicated staff and durable machines account for longer dredging hours and getting the job quickly and safely using the IMS Barge – even in bad weather conditions. The design of the IMS makes it possible to accurately dredge to an exact depth and position.
The discharge from the dredger is regularly sampled to double-check density.
